TBI Tint Selection Kit

Chadwick’s Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Tint Selection Kit was developed as a simple way for practitioners to allow their patients to sample various tints known to help with conditions such as migraine, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury and concussion. The kit also provides an easy way to find the best lens shape for us to create a custom clip for your patient’s existing glasses.

The included selection of tints was developed in conjunction with Dr. Carl Garbus, former president of the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA), and includes the most often used colors in VA Polytrauma Centers as well as filters recommended by NORA.

While the effect each tint has varies from patient to patient, our kit includes, in a very general sense: blues most associated with TBI/concussion and epilepsy, rose variations known to alleviate migraine symptoms and plums associated with glare relief.
